When you log in, ProxyPortal accesses your SRM Academia account on your behalf using the credentials you provide.

We access: attendance records, internal marks, timetable data, academic planner, and basic profile information (name, roll number, department).

This data is fetched directly from SRM Academia's servers and is only used to display your academic information within the app.

Your login credentials are never stored on our servers. They are used only to authenticate with SRM Academia during your session.

Academic data is cached locally in your browser's localStorage for performance — this data never leaves your device.

We do not maintain any user database, user accounts, or personal data servers.

We do not sell, trade, or share your personal information with any third parties.

We do not use your academic data for advertising, analytics platforms, or any commercial purpose.

Your data is yours — we are simply a viewer on top of what SRM Academia already provides.

ProxyPortal offers an anonymous community polling feature. When you vote or create a poll, your identity is cryptographically hashed — your roll number is never stored in plain text.

Poll votes are associated with an irreversible hash of your identity, ensuring no one — including the ProxyPortal team — can trace a vote back to a specific student.

Reported polls are reviewed by moderators. If a poll receives a threshold number of reports, it is automatically removed. Moderators are only notified of the report count, not the reporters' identities.

Poll data (questions, votes, and expiry timestamps) is stored on our database and is permanently deleted when polls expire (24 hours after creation).

All communication between ProxyPortal and SRM Academia is done over HTTPS encrypted connections.

Session tokens are stored as secure cookies and are cleared upon logout.

We follow security best practices to ensure your session cannot be hijacked or misused.

You can clear all locally cached data at any time by logging out — this wipes everything from your browser.

Since we don't store data on servers, there is nothing to request deletion of from our end.

Clearing your browser's localStorage will also remove all cached academic data instantly.

ProxyPortal is an independent student project and is not officially affiliated with or endorsed by SRMIST.

We are not responsible for any inaccuracies in the data provided by SRM Academia's servers.
